Changes to outpatient appointments to help protect patients from Coronavirus
To help protect patient safety and reduce the amount of patients attending our hospitals at this time for face-to-face appointments,
the Trust is moving to telephone outpatient appointments where possible. You may therefore be notified via our appointment reminder service
that an upcoming appointment has changed to a telephone appointment, however please be aware that the appointment letter in MyChart relating
to it will still contain details about attending the clinic in person.
We understand that this is confusing but if you receive
any correspondence or automated messages regarding changes to appointments then please follow this new information rather than the visiting
instructions contained within the MyChart appointment letter itself.
To summarise, if you are contacted by the Trust to notify
you that your future appointment has been changed to a telephone appointment then please follow these new instructions rather than those showing
in MyChart (if they are different) – the date and time of your appointment at this time will remain unchanged. Any cancellation of appointment
notice, however received, will be correct.
